District 30 is a majority-minority district located on the west side of the Phoenix metropolitan area. It includes parts of Phoenix and Glendale. It is bounded generally on the north by Dunlap/Olive avenues; however, it does contain a small portion north of Dunlap between Interstate-17 and 35th Ave. On the west it is bounded by 71st Ave, on the south by Van Buren Ave, and on the east by 19th Ave. (with a small area between 19th Ave. and 7th Ave. south of Roosevelt St. and Grand Ave.). Minorities represent 71.3 percent of the district’s total population and 64.5 percent of its total population.
