District 3 is a majority-minority district located entirely in Pima County and includes parts of Tucson, Drexel Heights, Tucson Estates, and Valencia West. The southern border of the district is the boundary of the Tohono O’odham Nation. The western border is Sandario Rd. The bulk of the district is west of Interstate 10 (I-10) and Interstate 19 (I-19), although it also includes the main campus of the University of Arizona and areas north of the campus that are east of the I-10. The district also includes the Pasqua Yaqui Pueblo Reservation. Minorities represent 67.1 percent of the total population and 60.6 percent of the voting age population.
