District 27, a majority-minority district located entirely in Maricopa County, includes south Phoenix, all of the Town of Guadalupe and portions of the Gila River Indian Community. Its southern border is the Maricopa-Pinal county line. Its western boundary is the border between the Gila River Indian Community and Avondale at approximately 115th Ave. On the east its border is the boundary of the Gila River Indian Community with Chandler (approximately 88th St.). Minorities represent more than 80 percent of the district’s total population and more than 75 percent of its voting age population.
